  • Total market volume for the major applications/products based on organic electrooptical materials is estimated to be $ 2.6 billion for 2005. BCC estimates that by 2011, it will reach a value of $10.5 billion, at an AAGR of 32.4%.
  • This impressive growth is a result of the increasing demand for OEOM’s two main applications (namely, displays and telecommunications) and the products associated with them. These will be described below.
  • The total 2005 market for organic-based displays is estimated to be $615 million. This accounts for about 24% of the total market, based on OEOM by 2005. By 2011, BCC estimates that the total market for organic-based displays will reach $3.1 billion (29% of the total market for products based on OEOM).
