This study, IAS008C, updates the BCC Research report G-228R The Process Spectroscopy Market, published in March of 2005. While the original study focused on the market for process spectroscopy equipment from 2004 through 2009, this report addresses the global market for process spectroscopy equipment for the period 2008 through 2013.

Additionally, BCC collected more than 2,157 utility patents filed in the U.S. and throughout the world, eliminating individual patents spanning two or more categories down to their primary category based on analysis and discarding patents whose content is not centrally related to process spectroscopy, leaving 956 patents that were more fully statistically and categorically analyzed.
Finally, many different standards and regulatory agencies were queried and standards, mandates, and laws were analyzed and presented as they impact companies manufacturing and utilizing process spectroscopy instruments.
