Syngas chemicals are primarily produced from synthesis gas, a gaseous mixture of hydrogen and carbon monoxide. The prime compound obtained from catalytic reaction of syngas is methanol. Methanol is further utilized to produce other industrially important chemicals such as formaldehyde, and acetyls.
