Wellesley, Mass—According to a new technical market research report, COMMERCIAL AMINO ACIDS (BIO007H) from BCC Research (www.bccresearch.com), the global market for commercial amino acids was worth $1.1 billion in 2008. This is expected to reach $1.3 billion in 2013, for a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 2.6%.

Amino acids are necessary for the proper development of humans and animals. However, most species do not have the enzymes necessary to produce all the essential amino acids.
