The electricity generation industry is one of the largest industries in the world, and one of the driving forces behind the global economy. Electricity generation is essential for global manufacturing, IT, resource extraction, and services industries. The future of the electricity industry is closely linked to the future of the global economy and the global environment.

Electricity generation includes both large-scale commercial and industrial, grid-connected, centralized power plants linked to the most-populated metropolitan areas in the world, as well as small-scale generation in remote locations. This report looks at the industry as a whole and is segmented into three parts – generation, transmission, and distribution.

The importance of identifying overall market trends, product opportunities, emerging geographies, merger-and-acquisition opportunities, and insights that provide guidance for sales growth or defensive moves cannot be overstated. This is especially true for a variety of constituents, including established companies in the industry, emerging energy technology players, investment firms evaluating candidates for venture capital or hedged investments, and equity analysts. This report is also an invaluable tool for business planners, licensing strategists, product managers, market research analysts, investors, investor consultants and anyone interested in the global electricity generation market, the industry’s structure, and industry participants across the globe.
