The segment made up of biosensor and chemical sensors is expected to reach $21 billion in 2016, after rising at a CAGR of 9.6% from its estimated value of $13.3 billion in 2011.
The segment made up of position and load/torque sensors is expected to be valued at $14.7 billion in 2016, after rising at a CAGR of 6.5% from its estimated value in 2011 of $10.7 billion.
The smallest segment of the market, made up of miscellaneous sensors, is expected to increase at a CAGR of 6.7% from its estimated 2011 value of $6.1 billion to $8.5 billion in 2016.
