REASONS FOR DOING THE STUDY

BCC Research commissioned this study to provide a comprehensive analysis of emerging and existing customer-facing retail store technologies. Unlike other market studies, which focus in great detail on one specific technology segment such as POS terminals or a specific geographic segment such as Asia-Pacific (APAC), this report covers all of the major technologies and segments in significant detail. This provides the reader with an overview of the entire industry while providing an objective quantitative analysis.

In the current economic climate, retailers and technology vendors are facing unprecedented fiscal pressures, and this report explores a range of self-service technologies that retailers can use to maintain a competitive advantage and improve customer satisfaction.
