BCC's goal in conducting this study is to provide an overview of the current and potential aspects of the U.S. market for chromatographic reagents. The report determines the market size, market leaders, and factors affecting the market of reagents of chromatography with the emphasis on its end users.
The overview of types of reagents and different techniques of chromatography is also examined along with sale figures over the 5-year period from 2007 to 2012. Companies selling the reagents of chromatography are profiled, and the factors affecting markets for these products and how those markets are likely to change are analyzed. Revenues have been broken down by the type of reagents and the usage of these reagents.
Our key objective is to present a comprehensive analysis of the current market and the future direction of chromatographic reagents with an emphasis on newer products.
This report contains:
- Descriptions of reagents used for various chromatography techniques including gas chromatography, liquid chromatography, affinity, size exclusion and ion exchange chromatography, supercritical fluid chromatography and capillary electrophoresis
- The current U.S. market status for reagents used in different types of chromatography techniques, with trends and forecasts for growth over the next 5 years
- Technological issues including the latest trends and a thorough patent analysis
- Discussion of environmental, regulatory and public policy issues that affect reagents for chromatography
- Company profiles.
A comprehensive literature search was conducted. The literature included technical newsletters and journals as well as many other sources. The data were collected through interviews and correspondence with various pharmaceutical/biotechnical experts. Projections were based on estimates such as the current number of end users, potential end users, likely unit prices, rates of consumption, and market trends.
BCC surveyed many companies to obtain data for this study. Included were manufacturers and the end users of the chromatographic reagents. We gathered the data from the industries; spoke with officials of this industry; and consulted newsletters, company literature, product literature, a host of technical articles, journals, indexes, and abstracts. Exhaustive investigations of databases by key terminology were done. In addition, we compiled data from current financial and trade information and government sources.
