Traditionally, concrete is seen as a boring material—it’s heavy, cold, grey and stark. But new developments in concrete, particularly the development of translucent concrete, are changing that traditional image. Various new concrete products have been developed and translucent concrete seems to be one of the most promising. Translucent concrete has most of the advantages of common concrete. With proper manufacturing methods, translucent concrete performs well because of its corrosion resistance, anti-freeze properties, waterproof capabilities, thermal insulation and strength, just like common concrete.
