As a key member of our Member services team you will be responsible for driving Member engagement, business growth and the service transformation of a 45-year old international market research brand.

Here’s how you’ll help that to happen:

  • Interviewing and consulting with Members to identify and clarify information and knowledge needs
  • Providing attentive service and solutions to Members to build relationship where you become the choice to provide consultation and guidance in their use of research reports, data and analysis
  • Teaching, training, and developing information literacy for our Members
  • Identifying reports and services to meet Member requirements
  • Curating and packaging information in usable formats
  • Negotiating appropriate pricing and terms and conditions for the licensing or acquisition of information resources if outside of our own library of titles
  • Communicating with Product, Editorial and Marketing all intelligence gleaned to help us to meet our Members most critical operational or strategic needs/goals
  • Understanding and communicating about the fundamentals of quantitative and qualitative research methods

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Onboarding new Members, training them in the use of our library and reports
  • Resolving member questions/issues, taking every opportunity to further understand the problems the Members are trying to solve
  • Meeting or exceeding productivity and quality expectations for projects
  • Regularly preparing and delivering presentations and trainings to Members
  • Monitoring and analyzing Member usage, creating reports related to usage statistics to aid with renewals and upsell opportunities
  • Communicating directly with Members to nurture and develop trusting relationships
  • Regularly reading business and industry news

BCC Research contracts with individuals and small consulting firms globally to provide high level insight and forecasting to our continually growing customer base. Working closely with our Editorial department the Analyst will research the global market for an emerging or growing technology (including: systems, processes, materials, equipment, drugs etc.) in one or more of our numerous industry categories. Please note that this involves industry-level market analysis and NOT marketing, product or consumer market research.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our analysts are located across the globe, are experts in their field and contract with us on a remote, per-report contract basis. They work on their own schedules to provide insight and market data through both secondary research and one-on-one conversations with key industry experts from around the world. As an analyst you will explain a technology, segment, size and forecast a market and research related patents and companies. This is a great opportunity to build your network, connect with industry insiders and expand your visibility.

ABOUT YOU

You are an expert in one or more technologies and know your overall industry well. You have a high level of intellectual curiosity, are passionate about new and trending technology and enjoy both quantitative and qualitative research.

Required Qualifications
  • An Advanced degree with 3+ years of postgraduate subject matter experience OR a Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of relevant industry experience (ideally in science, engineering or subject-related consulting).
  • Comfortable with secondary/desk research and able to identify/contact primary resources
  • Experience as an invited speaker at a conference or event and/or have published an industry-related article, book, report, etc.
  • Familiarity with, or the ability to quickly learn, market segmentation, sizing and forecasting
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
  • A firm commitment to meet contract deadlines

We are looking for a creative, motivated, intellectually curious and rigorously organized intern to research, proof, write and edit at BCC Research, a fast-paced global market research firm with offices in Chapel Hill, NC. The intern works closely with the Managing Marketing Editor to produce a variety of written content that meets a broad range of business and brand goals. He or she will spend approximately 8 hours each week for 12 weeks actively building a portfolio of published articles and press releases while receiving constructive feedback and hands-on business, editorial and marketing experience.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Authoring content including, but not limited to, blogs, press releases, newsletters, scripts, social media posts and email campaigns
  • Repurposing existing content and packaging it into alternative forms to supplement broader content strategy
  • Creating and executing plans to drive engagement on social media on Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, and other platforms
  • Proofreading and editing materials to ensure accuracy of information

Qualifications:

  • Actively pursuing bachelor’s degree in related field, such as Journalism, Marketing, Digital Marketing, English, Advertising or Public Relations
  • Superior writing, editing and proofreading skills and experience working with a style guide
  • Enthusiasm to learn about new, sometimes esoteric, industries and subject matter
  • Creativity, curiosity, innovation and excitement with a willingness to learn and openness to professional growth and positive criticism
  • Ability to travel to the Chapel Hill office for 3 hours each week to work directly with Managing Marketing Editor, additional hours can be worked either in the office or at your home

BCC Research is looking for an experienced demand generation professional to lead our digital marketing team. This senior director will lead digital engagement strategies to drive and nurture leads throughout the buying process. The ideal candidate will have a background in all digital acquisition tactics such as search, social marketing, email and marketing automation and will have experience both building and executing integrated demand generation campaigns, a deep understanding of marketing operations and processes, and exceptional English language capabilities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Driving global awareness and demand for products across all digital channels
  • Contributing to setting targets/forecasts quarterly and annually for all demand activities
  • Overseeing operational divisional demand generation activities, and ensuring strategies align to demand function targets/forecasts, including managing a global team, including specialists in targeting, email, marketing automation, search, and social
  • Developing and leading the execution of effective lead generation programs including emails, PPC, social, SEO, using Hubspot, Salesforce, GA, Hotjar, and other tools
  • Implementing and testing initiatives to create new growth opportunities and increase ROI
  • Analyze results daily to improve lead quality, and to maximize pipeline and revenue
  • Defining proper segmentation of our email database to allow for effective and targeted outreach while building systematic A/B testing framework into all email campaigns to drive key results
  • Reporting and analyzing key performance metrics of email performance, campaign effectiveness and funnel generation; providing these insights to marketing team and senior management through dashboards, regular reporting, and recommendations
  • Monitoring trends/innovations relating to digital demand generation activities and integrating into strategy to maintain relevance and stay competitive

Qualifications:

  • 8 years or more experience in B2B demand generation planning and programs targeting large enterprises, with strong preference given to those with experience in the market research industry
  • Prior experience implementing global, enterprise focused and account-based marketing campaigns
  • Proven ability to plan, execute and optimize campaigns with a demonstrable impact on revenues
  • Extensive experience with successful hands-on execution of digital marketing: including email, PPC, social and SEO
  • Knowledge of marketing and sales automation system: Salesforce, Hubspot, and Google Analytics. Hubspot and GA certification preferred.
  • Previous experience working for a US or UK based company
  • Relevant undergraduate degree: marketing, business, communications

Requirements

  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience and demonstrated success in a similar role prospecting for new business, developing effective selling strategies, and achieving target account objectives and achieving quota
  • Outstanding personal communication and selling skills including a strong client and solutions orientation, the ability to listen actively, probe for needs, and establish rapport and relationships with key buyers
  • Highly skilled at identifying and developing inbound and outbound sales opportunities by researching potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; providing technical information and explanations; preparing/delivering quotations
  • Experience and comfort working in a flat and highly collaborative corporate culture that requires initiative and accountability and rewards performance and results
