BCC Research contracts with individuals and small consulting firms globally to provide high level insight and forecasting to our continually growing customer base. Working closely with our Editorial department the Analyst will research the global market for an emerging or growing technology (including: systems, processes, materials, equipment, drugs etc.) in one or more of our numerous industry categories. Please note that this involves industry-level market analysis and NOT marketing, product or consumer market research.


Our analysts are located across the globe, are experts in their field and contract with us on a remote, per-report contract basis. They work on their own schedules to provide insight and market data through both secondary research and one-on-one conversations with key industry experts from around the world. As an analyst you will explain a technology, segment, size and forecast a market and research related patents and companies. This is a great opportunity to build your network, connect with industry insiders and expand your visibility.


You are an expert in one or more technologies and know your overall industry well. You have a high level of intellectual curiosity, are passionate about new and trending technology and enjoy both quantitative and qualitative research.

Required Qualifications
  • An Advanced degree with 3+ years of postgraduate subject matter experience OR a Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of relevant industry experience (ideally in science, engineering or subject-related consulting).
  • Comfortable with secondary/desk research and able to identify/contact primary resources
  • Experience as an invited speaker at a conference or event and/or have published an industry-related article, book, report, etc.
  • Familiarity with, or the ability to quickly learn, market segmentation, sizing and forecasting
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English
  • A firm commitment to meet contract deadlines

Job Description

  • Engage Director and C-level product, marketing, business and corporate development executives at global and national enterprises
  • Generate revenue through the sale of membership licenses, individual reports, and custom research solutions to new customers
  • Generate revenue by upgrading single report buyers to membership licenses or by cross selling additional reports or custom research solutions
  • Work and convert inbounds leads and proactively develop new leads, prospects and customers from direct selling efforts
  • Develop, implement and execute territory and target account strategies
  • Develop and maintain a full pipeline of opportunities in Salesforce CRM, and accurately forecast monthly and quarterly sales
  • Make it your business to understand the industry, our products and competitors to the extent required to tailor and articulate our unique and compelling value proposition to prospects
  • Achieve or exceed monthly performance metrics
  • Enlist internal resources where and when necessary to advance and strengthen our position and opportunity with prospects


  • Minimum of 2+ years of experience and demonstrated success in a similar role prospecting for new business, developing effective selling strategies, and achieving target account objectives and achieving quota
  • Outstanding personal communication and selling skills including a strong client and solutions orientation, the ability to listen actively, probe for needs, and establish rapport and relationships with key buyers
  • Highly skilled at identifying and developing inbound and outbound sales opportunities by researching potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; providing technical information and explanations; preparing/delivering quotations
  • Experience and comfort working in a flat and highly collaborative corporate culture that requires initiative and accountability and rewards performance and results
  • Driven to succeed with an unrelenting but cordial competitive spirit
  • Self-starter with a proud, positive and professional attitude, a high level of integrity, and strong personal work ethic
  • Team player, capable of enlisting and working well with internal team resources
  • Experience in BCC vertical markets is a strong plus
  • Ability to exceed department and organization goals by accepting ownership of revenue goal while exploring opportunities to add value to company overall.
  • Strong command of Salesforce CRM
