2010 AcouSort AB was established to commercialize the research activities in Lund, Sweden.
2014 AcouSort AB developed the AcouTrap, a benchtop research instrument used to prepare samples of cells, extracellular vesicles, and bacteria from various media.
2016 AcouSort AB was transformed from a project-based company to a completely operational organization.
2017 AcouSort AB received its first commercial order from the American Institute of Health (NIH) to provide a prototype of the AcouWash system.  
2019 AcouSort AB received $4,47,790 in funding from Vinnova through Eurostars for the project AcouPlast. AcouPlast aims to manufacture polymer acoustofluidic chips for high-performing, fast, and cost-effective plasma separation, allowing healthcare and veterinary Point-of-Care (PoC) diagnostics.
2021 AcouSort AB launched AcouWash 2, the new version of the company’s cell washing and separation system. The system and its applications will be presented in two presentations at µTAS.
2022 AcouSort AB accelerated its commercial focus on targeting the cell therapy market.
2023 The European Innovation Council (EIC) funded the AcouSome project 100% with $2.7 million over 36 months.
