AAV vector technology

Ixo-vec gene therapy transduces the synthesis of the anti-VEGF protein aflibercept in retinal cells by utilizing a unique AAV.7m8 vector capsid, which carries a coding sequence for the protein. This makes it possible for Ixo-vec to provide sustained VEGF suppression after intravitreal injection.
