2004	Almatis became an independent company previously part of Alcoa's chemical business.
2007	Almatis was acquired by Dubai International Capital (DIC) for a value of $1.2 billion.
2007	Almatis acquired the remaining 40% stake in its joint venture (JV) with ACC, transforming it into a 100% owned subsidiary.
2015	Dubai International Capital (DIC) sold Almatis to OYAK Global Investments. The completion of this sale follows receipt of all relevant regulatory approvals.
