Based on real-time PCR technology, Altona Diagnostics’ molecular diagnostic tests come in kits that are ready to use. There are more than fifty CE-marked kits that work with open real-time PCR platforms in the company’s product portfolio. Furthermore, Altona Diagnostics provides an automated workflow solution that includes specialized software, instruments and nucleic acid extraction chemicals.
In 1998, artus Diagnostics, a spin-off from Bernhard-Nocht-Institute for Tropical Medicine in Hamburg, Germany, was started and in 2005, Artus was acquired by Qiagen and in 2011, Artus Diagnostics was renamed Altona Diagnostics.
