ArcelorMittal is based in Luxembourg City and is the world’s largest integrated steel and mining company. The company was formed in 2006 from the merger of Arcelor and Mittal Steel. ArcelorMittal operates in 15 countries with 37 steel-making facilities and supports various products, including flat and long steel, pipes, and mining products. The company operates in various industries like automotive, construction, and appliances; the automotive sector is extremely significant as far as market share for steel production is concerned, showing customization for this industry. ArcelorMittal is taking a responsible approach to sustainability and is working towards reducing its carbon footprint by investing in low-carbon technologies and sustainable practices throughout its operations. The company is also a major player in iron ore production, and it obtains much of its raw materials from its mines in Brazil, Canada, and South Africa. Being a publicly traded company in some 140 nations, ArcelorMittal is applying its globalization and expertise to evolve with the ever-changing demands of the steel market on innovation and environment-friendly practices.
