1978	Norman and Frank Brooks established Brooks Automation, Inc., to provide automated solutions and transform the productivity of semiconductor fabrication.
2011	Brooks Automation, Inc. entered the life sciences industry by leveraging its in-house precision automation and cryogenics capabilities, already applied in the semiconductor manufacturing market.
2014	Brooks Automation, Inc. acquired FluidX Ltd., a provider of biological sample storage tubes and complementary bench-top instruments, to add biological sample storage consumables to its business portfolio.
2015	Brooks Automation, Inc. acquired BioStorage Technologies, Inc., one of the leaders in storing biological samples, to outsource service solutions across the end-to-end life cycle of biological samples, such as collection, protection, processing, transportation, disposal, complements, and retrieval with a robust sample data management system.
2020	Brooks Automation, Inc., acquired RURO, Inc., an informatics software company, for $15 million. This acquisition will enhance RURO’s capabilities and offerings, as well as its onsite and off-site management of biological sample inventories and integrated solutions for its customers.
2021	Brooks Autiomation, Inc. rebranded its Brooks Life Sciences Services and Products businesses as Azenta Life Sciences to enable the market with a wholly integrated portfolio for sample exploration and management solutions.
2022	Azenta, Inc. agreed to acquire B Medical Systems S.á r.l and its subsidiaries (B Medical) to deliver life-saving treatments worldwide.
