A long-acting, extended-release injectable formulation of buprenorphine used for the treatment of moderate to severe opioid use disorder (OUD). It is administered subcutaneously as weekly or monthly injections. The medication is marketed under the trade name Buvidal in Europe, Australia, the Middle East, and North Africa, and as Brixadi in the U.S. Camurus AB has licensed the North American rights to Brixadi to Braeburn Pharmaceuticals, Inc., which markets and distributes it in the U.S. under that name.
