1991	DEME was established as a holding company of two Belgian dredging contractors: Dredging International and Baggerwerken Decloedt.
2021	DEME partnered with Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP), a global fund manager focused on renewable energy investments, to develop the energy island in the Danish North Sea, where conditions for green energy production based on offshore wind are optimal.
2025	DEME acquired Havfram, an international offshore wind contractor based in Norway, to expand its offshore wind energy market presence.
