2017	Direct Biologics was founded by Mark Adams and Joe Schmidt to advance regenerative medicine.
2022	The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) granted Direct Biologics with an Regenerative Medicine Advanced Therapy (RMAT) designation. The FDA awarded to their extracellular vesicle drug, ExoFlo, to treat COVID-19-linked Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS).
