1778 Doncasters Group was established by Daniel Doncaster in Sheffield.
1865 The company developed three crucible furnaces on Doncaster Street to melt, hold, and transfer nonferrous metals. They are the least expensive melting method for melting small volumes of nonferrous metals.
1998 DONCASTERS plc acquired the Triplex Lloyd group of companies to double the size of Doncaster. 
2001 Doncasters merged with Ross Catherall Group, a manufacturer and supplier of vacuum and air-melted ferrous, nickel, and cobalt base alloy, and superalloy bar stock, to the investment casting industry. 
2007 The Doncasters Group acquired FastenTech Inc., a Minneapolis-based fasteners and precision components manufacturer, for $ 492 million. 
2022 Doncasters acquired Uni-Pol, a global manufacturer of superalloy cast parts, to place itself amongst the largest manufacturers of high-precision alloy components in the worldwide supply chain.
