| 2005 | Ecolab opens a new Global Research, Development & Engineering Center in Eagan, Minnesota. |
| 2008 | Ecolab’s European headquarters opened in Zurich, Switzerland. |
| 2011 | Ecolab acquires Naperville, the deal amounting to $8 billion. |
| 2013 | The company bought Champion Technologies a privatly held co. for $2.2 billion. |
| 2014 | A new manufacturing plant opens on Jurong Island, Singapore. The plant will serve energy customers of Nalco Champion's in Asia Pacifc. |
| 2017 | Ecolab acquires Laboratoires Anio. |
| 2019 | Ecolab acquires Lobster Ink. The acquistion will company to meet the training requirements of foodservice and hospitatlity companies across 130 countries. |
