Company Overview
Elekta was established in 1972 and offers radiotherapy treatment solutions and oncology software solutions for all oncology departments. The company reports its business in the following segments: Hardware, software, and Services. Key hardware products are Leksell Gamma Knife, Linear accelerators, MR-Linacs and afterloaders. Software licenses consist mainly of Oncology informatics systems (OIS) and Treatment planning systems (TPS). The Services segment delivers aftermarket maintenance and support relating to equipment, software, training, installation services and warranties, generating recurring revenues.
As of December 2023, the company had an installed base of more than 7,000 radiotherapy devices (around 5,300 external beam devices and 1,900 brachytherapy devices). Elekta has offices in more than 40 countries, sells its products in more than 120 countries, and focuses on personalizing cancer care.
