1969	The company was founded in Japan in 1969 by Mr. Taguchi, who invented the MOS-based gas sensor called the Taguchi Gas Sensor.
1975	The company established a manufacturing technology laboratory in Suita City, Osaka. This facility was focused on advancing its gas sensor technologies and improving manufacturing processes.
1980	The company established Figaro USA, Inc., in Illinois, USA. The US office would later function as a base for global expansion.
1986	Riken Corp. and Figaro established a joint venture company, Riken Figaro Electronic Co., Ltd, in Nara, Japan.
1990	Tianjin Xinyuan Group and Figaro established a joint venture, Tianjin Figaro Electronic Co., Ltd., to expand into the Asian market regarding production and sales.
2004	Shanghai Songjiang and Figaro established a joint venture, Shanghai Songjiang Figaro Electronics., Ltd., in Shanghai, China, to produce and sell gas detectors for the Chinese market.
2011	Riken Figaro Electronic Co., Ltd was absorbed into Figaro Engineering Inc., consolidating operations and streamlining its organizational structure.
2016	New Cosmos Electric Co., Ltd., a Japanese manufacturer of gas sensors and detectors, acquired a partial ownership stake in Figaro Engineering Inc. to expand its portfolio in gas sensor technology.
2023	The company established a European office in Neuss, Germany, on October 1, 2023. The office aims to provide technical support to European customers and distributors and help expand the company's presence in Europe.
