1849	The company was founded by Heintze & Freudenberg.
1859	It has developed patent leather, and international business has expanded.
1874	Carl Freudenberg became the sole owner of the company, and Company health insurance was established.
1904	Freudenberg developed Chrome tanning.
1921	The company has established its first foreign company and expanded its business to Asia.
1929	It has produced its first seals.
1932	Freudenberg has developed Simmerring.
1933	Freudenberg entered into a new business segment called the shoe business.
1934	The company has established its main laboratory.
1936	Simmering with rubber sealing lip developed and the Shoe division expanded.
1938	Nonwoven production begins, and nora shoe soles production begins.
1948	The company has started the production of Vileda cloths.
1950	First foreign production company and Entry into nora floor covering business.
1957	Entry into vibration control technology and filtration technology.
1960	The company has fomed a partnership in sealing technology with the Nippon Oil Seal Industry Company (NOK) in Tokyo, it is its first partnerships in Japan.
1970	New production technology for spun-bonded nonwovens.
1977	Freudenberg group entered into the electronics business.
1984	Freudenberg Foundation established.
1987	Freudenberg Lutravil Far East (later Far Eastern Spunweb) is created in 1987 in Taiwan with Japanese and Chinese partners.
1989	Produced First car cabin filters and established FNGP.
1997	Introduced the First mechatronic sealing components and established Politex.
1999	Entry into vibration control technology for rail vehicles, Development of the Evolon® microfiber nonwoven.
2003	Expansion of household products in America and Expansion in India.
2004	Acquired the companies called Burgmann Dichtungswerke and Chem-Trend, and Entry into the medical technology business segment.
2009	Freudenberg took over the Gala brand in India and Expanded its household products in Indian Market.
2010	Development of a fourth pillar for chemical specialties: surface finishing.
2011	Further expansion of household products in Asia.
2012	Joint Venture established with TrelleborgVibracoustic.
2014	With the acquisition of the family business Tobul Accumulator Inc., a leading worldwide developer and manufacturer of hydraulic accumulators, the sealing business is expanded, and the accumulator business is strengthened.
2019	Acquiredthe Canadian ERP specialist, Syntax, to Expand the filter business.
2021	The company has acquired the companies called the American filter manufacturers Protect Plus Air Holding Incorporated, in Hickory, North Carolina, and RPS Products in Hampshire, Illinois, which sells filters for residential and office buildings under the brand name BestAir.
2022	Founded new Business Group, Freudenberg e-Power Systems (FePS), to produce fuel cell powertrains for ships and heavy-duty vehicles.
2022	Freudenberg becomes the first manufacturer to receive the “Type Approval” safety certification for a methanol fuel cell propulsion system for oceangoing ships from the international classification firm RINA.
2023	It has acquired XALT Energy and consolidated the battery and fuel cell activities of Freudenberg Sealing Technologies with XALT energy.
2024	Freudenberg has formed a new business group: Freudenberg Flow Technologies. It consolidates the Business Groups EagleBurgmann and Freudenberg Oil & Gas Technologies with the goal of optimizing sales synergies for long-term sealing solutions in the oil and gas, energy, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, food and beverage, and water segments.
