1864	The company was founded by Ferdinand Heye in Duesseldorf, Germany.
1886	The company has become the biggest bottle maker in the world.
1972	It has renamed to Gerresheimer Glas AG.
1987	Gerresheimer Glas AG developed a tubing-based pharmaceutical glass product business.
1999	The company has new global organization structure, strategic reorientation to focus on pharmaceutical, laboratory, cosmetic and small glass products and Sold of the glassworks in Gerresheim.
2013	Gerresheimer Glas AG has made a divisional reorganization of Plastics & Devices, Primary Packaging Glass, and Life Science Research.
2015	It has acquired a company called Centor.
2016	The company has sold its Life Science Research operations.
2018	Gerresheimer acquires Swiss technology company Sensile Medical.
2019	Established a new division, Advanced Technology, in addition to Primary Packaging Glass and Plastics & Devices, Opened a Plastic Packaging Plant in Changzhou, China, and a Glass Innovation and Technology Center, Vineland, in the U.S.
2020	Opened Medical Device Plant Skopje, North Macedonia.
