2011	Gogoro was founded in 2011. The company was established by entrepreneurs Horace Luke and Matt Taylor.
2017	Sumitomo Corporation and Gogoro partnered to launch a smart scooter sharing service in Japan called GoShare. GoShare is an open battery-swapping system that powers the Gogoro Smartscooter and compact four-wheel vehicles.
2021	Gojek, Southeast Asia’s mobile on-demand services platform, partnered with Gogoro to deploy a battery swapping and two-wheel electric vehicle pilot in Jakarta, thus expanding its portfolio in Indonesia.
2023	Gogoro signed a vehicle partnership with Swiggy, India’s on-demand convenience delivery platform, to provide access to Gogoro Smartscooters and battery swapping and create greener and cost-effective solutions.
