1974	Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., Ltd. was founded in 1974 by Terry Gou in Taiwan as Hon Hai Plastics Corp.
2009	Hon Hai acquired a factory in Tijuana, Mexico, which was formerly a Sony LCD TV manufacturing facility.
2020	Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. Ltd. Partnered with Fiat Chrysler Automobiles N.V. and Yulon Group for a foray into electronic vehicles.
2022	Hon Hai acquired arQana’s Wireless Telecommunications business to enable the establishment of an RF semiconductor component supplier.
2023	NXP Semiconductors and Hon Hai opened a joint laboratory in Taiwan for software-defined electric vehicle development.
2025	Hon Hai announced a partnership with NVIDIA to establish an AI Factory supercomputing center in Taiwan, to provide the latest NVIDIA Blackwell infrastructure to industry, government, and academia across the region.
