1995	Intelligent Energy Ltd. Was initially founded as Advanced Power Sources Ltd.
1997	The first selective oxidation unit was built.
1998	The first 200 cm2 nine-cell, pressurised cathode was developed and refined into 1kW compact unit.
2001	Intelligent Energy Opened Operations, Opening its doors at the Innovation Centre – Loughborough University.
2003	Intelligent Energy Expands, Opening of new site in Long Beach, California – USA.
2004	First Remote Power Application, Intelligent Energy, provides remote power in South Africa, via rural fuel cell application.
2005	Intelligent Energy produces the World’s first purpose-built fuel cell motorbike called The ENV.
2007	Intelligent Energy and Suzuki announce new partnership.
2008	The World’s first manned fuel cell aircraft is produced by Boeing and Intelligent Energy and Intelligent Energy and Peugeot Citroen deliver H2O Origin zero-emission commercial van.
2010	Intelligent Energy, in partnership with Suzuki, launched the Burgman scooter at London City Hall; Intelligent Energy announced the opening of its offices in Osaka, Japan, and Bangalore, India.
2011	The Suzuki Burgman fuel cell scooter obtains the first EU whole-vehicle type approval.
2012	Intelligent Energy announces SMILE JV with Suzuki Motor Corporation.
2013	IE signs a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a partnership to provide power to telecom towers in India.
2014	Launched Upp™ – a personal fuel cell energy device to charge and power USB-compatible portable electronic devices.
2015	Intelligent Energy extends capability with new high-performance 100kW automotive fuel cell architecture.
2016	Fuel cell drone demonstrated at InterDrone 2016, Las Vegas.
2017	Intelligent Energy was acquired by long-standing shareholder Meditor.
2018	Intelligent Energy and TCP Ltd launched off-grid hydrogen fuel cell power products for the construction industry, and IE launched IE-POWER 802 and 804 FCM for stationary power and telecoms.
2019	Official World Record flight time of over 12 hours powered by Intelligent Energy 650W FCPM, Launched 2.4kW UAV Module, IE joins Project ESTHER consortium, Development of hydrogen fuel cells for use in passenger cars and heavy-duty vehicles.
2021	Launched IE-POWER 1T and 1U, Fuel cell module for warehousing and materials handling.
2023	Intelligent Energy joins APC project ICEBreaker, Using fuel cells to decarbonize heavy goods vehicles with MIRA and Viritech, the First UK-manufactured fuel cell for passenger cars unveiled, and the company launched the World's first hydrogen-powered access platform.
2024	Fuel cell-powered car breaks cover at headquarters; the system was unveiled and driven at the ESTHER close-out meeting.
