1957	Started Korea Nylon Inc. and established the stretch nylon yarn plant.
1960	Korea Nylon Inc. introduced Permatex equipment.
1961	The company has signed a technology agreement with CHEMTEX Inc. for nylon yarn manufacturing.
1963	First Korean company to establish a nylon yarn plant (2.5 tons in Ilsan) and made the first export of stretch nylon.
1968	Completed 2.5-ton and 7.5-ton polyester yarn line in Daegu.
1969	Established Korea Polyester Inc., and it signed a joint investment agreement with Japan's TORAY and Mitsui Co.
1970	The company has established 3.2-ton and 8-ton nylon yarn lines in Daegu.
1971	Established the largest 20-ton polyester yarn line in Gumi Plant.
1977	The first Korean plant (Gumi) will operate POY. Korea Nylon and Korea Polyester respectively changed names to KOLON Corporation (Nylon) and KOLON Corporation (Polyester).
1981	KOLON Corporation (Nylon) and KOLON Corporation (Polyester) are both companies that have merged.
1982	The company has succeeded in developing artificial turf.
1984	Entered partnership with French company Rhone-Poulenc in plastics engineering technology.
1985	Established the polyester film plant and spun-bond manufacturing plant.
1986	Established the videotape (SCEN'A) plant.
1987	Localized hemodialyzers in the Gyeongsan Plant began mass production and Established the polyester film line.
1990	Established the polypropylene spun bond plant and P-19 automated line in Gumi Plant.
1992	Exported artificial turf KONY GREEN to the U.S. and Established the HELS-2(PET ultra-low shrinkage yarn) plant.
1993	The company has launched an artificial leather business.
1994	Completed the Gimcheon CIM Automated nylon yarn plant(ACE N-1).
1995	Korea Nylon merged into KOLON corporation, Established a branch in Indonesia (P.T.KOLON INA) and Gimcheon CIM polyester yarn plant(ACE P-1).
1996	Launched character/caricature business, Established GP-24, FBK-1, ACE P-2 lines and P.T.KOLON INA, film plant in Indonesia.
1997	Established ACE N-2 line in Gimcheon Plant, KOLON Tower in Gwacheon, and P.T.KOLON INA, film plant in Indonesia.
1999	KOLON Corporation launched the spandex business.
2000	The company has begun producing membranes for hemodialyzers.
2003	Bought Ulsan polymer film plant and Began producing light diffuser films for LCD.
2004	Launched aramid business, Established KNC airbag plant and KNC tire cord plant in China.
2005	Established the polyimide film line and Launched the OPW airbag business.
2006	Signed long-term agreement on membranes for water purification.
2007	KOLON Chemical merged into KOLON corporation.
2008	Established a joint venture with polyimide film manufacturer SKC KOLON PI, Transferred plastic business to KOLON Plastics Inc. and high-absorption resin business to LG Chem.
2009	FnC KOLON merged into KOLON Corporation, Separated the manufacturing department of KOLON Corporation, and formed KOLON Industries.
2011	Cambridge KOLON merged into KOLON Industries.
2012	KOLON Industries established a DFR office in China.
2015	The company has established an airbag office in Mexico.
2016	Establishment of an airbag office in Vietnam.
2018	Started flexible display film business (CPI), Establishment of tire cord plant in Vietnam, and Relocated head office and R&D center to Magok, Seoul.
2019	Started hydrogen fuel cell & membrane humidifier mass production.
2021	Aramid Double-Up Expansion and High-tech resin production (Yeosu plant).
2022	Establishment of CSO for Future Business Control Tower.
