Company Overview
MiaSolé is a producer of lightweight, flexible and powerful solar cells and cell manufacturing equipment. The innovative solar cell is based on the highest efficiency thin-film technology available today, and its flexible cell architecture makes it ideal for a wide variety of solutions ranging from commercial roofing solar panels to portable mobile devices.
Founded in 2004, MiaSolé has evolved from a Silicon Valley start-up in thin-film solar panel efficiency. In its Sunnyvale, Calif., facility, the company demonstrated 17.5% module efficiency in production and 19.4% cell efficiency in the lab.
MiaSolé is focused on copper-indium-selenide (CIS) thin-film photovoltaic cells and modules. MiaSolé produces all layers of photovoltaic material in a continuous sputtering process. The company is working with several system integrators to install its thin-film solar products on a global basis in large commercial and utility-scale projects.
