Company Overview
Molecular Health GmbH, founded in 2004, develops software for clinical decisions support. The company maintained a laboratory in Houston but decommissioned it in 2016 to focus on software products. The company is commercializing the informatics products that were used at the lab and markets them under the Dataome name.
The lead products, Workbench Manager and Clinical Annotation Service, use Molecular’s Dataome cloud-based platform. Workbench Manager is aimed at smaller labs that need help in setting up their bioinformatics workflow. The product converts raw sequence files to final variant calls. It also uses curated content from Dataome for preparing reports to physicians who are treating patients.
The Clinical Annotation Service is aimed at higher-throughput laboratories. It interprets and annotates actional variants that are present in tumor samples. The service provides variant descriptions, treatment options, matching clinical trials and drug-drug interaction information to physicians.
