1989	NatureWorks was founded in 1989 as a research project by Cargill. It is a supplier of biopolymers and an innovator of products made from renewable resources. Cargill and PTT Global Chemical jointly own NatureWorks.
2020	NatureWorks partnered with the Nonwovens Institute (NWI) at North Carolina State University (NC State) to support the production of 10 million N95 masks for healthcare workers fighting COVID-19.
2022	CJ Biomaterials and NatureWorks collaborated on developing sustainable materials solutions based on CJ Biomaterials’ PHACT Biodegradable Polymers and NatureWorks’ Ingeo biopolymers.
2023	The company collaborated with Jabil Inc., a global manufacturing solutions provider, for an Ingeo PLA-based powder formulation for powder-bed fusion technologies, including Selective Laser Sintering (SLS) printer platforms.
