Nissan Motors Co. Ltd., is a Japanese multinational manufacturer of automobiles, trucks, and buses. The company provides sedans, compact cars, sports cars, SUVs, minivans, kei cars (a Japanese vehicle class known for its small size, limited engine displacement and tax advantages) light commercial vehicles, EVs and related parts. It offers automobiles under the brand names of Nissan and Infiniti, among others.
Nissan is a provider of EVs such as the Nissan Leaf. Also, in March 2024, Nissan and Honda Motor Co. merged their operations to share costs and work together on electric vehicle development. Furthermore, the installation of V2G technology in electric-powered cars fostered the company’s growth. The company has production and office facilities in Japan, the U.S., Mexico, Europe, the Middle East, South Africa, China, and Southeast Asian countries. It has six design centers in Japan, the U.S., the U.K. and Taiwan, and R&D centers in 11 countries. Nissan has a sales network in more than 160 countries and has around 10,000 dealers for business operations.
