2001	Plantic Technologies was founded in 2001 in Melbourne, Australia, to commercialize biodegradable bioplastics derived from corn starch.
2011	Plantic Technologies expanded its business through the acquisition of Tribond Packaging Solutions.
2015	Kuraray Group acquired Plantic Technologies to expand its presence in eco-friendly packaging materials, adding Plantic's starch-based films to its existing barrier resin (EVAL) offerings.
