Company Overview
Plasticell is a biotechnology company that is developing therapies derived from research using CombiCult, its proprietary high-throughput combinatorial cell culture technology. CombiCult enables Plasticell to test cell culture variables in combinations to discover optimal laboratory protocols for any given outcome in cell biology, including cell creation, cell expansion, cell differentiation, gene transduction, and protein production, as well as the provision of human cells for drug screening.
Plasticell leverages its technology internally to advance a number of therapeutic projects. Its cell therapy projects include the expansion of hematopoietic stem cells, remyelination, platelet transfusion, and osteogenesis. Its drug discovery projects include the control of obesity and diabetes through modulation of brown adipose tissue.
Plasticell also forms strategic alliances with industry partners to facilitate drug discovery, cell and gene therapy applications.
