Company Overview
Repsol was founded in Spain and is involved in the manufacturing and marketing biofuels. It uses various raw materials such as used cooking oil, vegetable oil waste, biomass, and wine-based alcohol from waste in the wine industry.
The company planned to build a low-emissions advanced biofuels plant in Spain at its refinery in Cartagena. The plant is planning to produce biofuels from recycled raw materials and plans to have a capacity of 250 kilo tons per year of hydro biodiesel, bio naphtha, bio-jet, and bio propane for trucks, cars, or aircraft. This facility will be equipped with cutting-edge technology and include the commissioning of a hydrogen plant that can fuel a new hydrotreatment unit.
