SSAB’s strategy aims to be the first to deliver commercially viable fossil-free steel by 2026 and to significantly lower its CO2 emissions from operations by 2030. The company pioneered the HYBRIT initiative, an innovative project that employs hydrogen in steelmaking, representing an important step forward in the decarbonization of the industry.
