1919	SSG (Swiss Steel Group) was initially founded as a steel trading company named Dorrenberg Stahlgesellschaft.
2003	The Schmolz + Bickenbach Group acquired Swiss Steel AG, a listed steel producer in Emmenbrücke, Switzerland, to expand its tool steel production.
2020	Schmolz+Bickenbach AG, a Swiss-based steel manufacturer, officially changed its name to Swiss Steel Group in September 2020.
2023	KNIPEX, a manufacturer of high-quality pliers for professional users, partnered with the Swiss Steel Group to reduce its CO2 footprint by using Green Steel's product CLIMATE+.
