Superior Graphite is a leading supplier of graphite for fuel cells and a leading supplier of battery-grade graphite. The brand name Formula BT encompasses carbon and graphitic powders developed and manufactured by Superior Graphite primarily for use in the electrical energy marketplace. Formula BT takes advantage of the unique continuous thermopurification treatment patented by Superior Graphite. This electrothermal process exposes the raw materials, such as natural flake or vein graphite, synthetic graphite and various coke products to temperatures up to 2,800ºC so that the volatiles, gases and impurities are vaporized. A variety of milling and classification processes coupled with mechanical and chemical treatments are also offered.
