Synnovis, a partnership between SYNLAB UK&I, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, and King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust established in 2021, is rapidly progressing in transforming pathology services to meet the needs of a two-million-strong population in southeast London. Construction of an eight-story, environmentally sustainable ‘hub’ laboratory in Blackfriars, London, is underway, targeting BREEAM certification. Once operational, approximately 70% of southeast London’s pathology services will be processed here, with service migration from multiple hospital sites starting in the first half of 2024.
