Company Overview

Ceramic membrane manufacturer TAMI Industries was founded in France in 1993. In 1994, the company launched Inside CéRAM tubular ceramic membrane elements, followed by the introduction of Inside KéRAM plate elements in 1996. In 1998, TAMI Deutschland was established for the Eastern European market, and the company created TAMI North America in Québec in 1999. TAMI Separation Technologies has been the Chinese branch of TAMI Industries since 2004.

TAMI manufactures its Inside CéRAM tubular ceramic UF (titanium oxide) and MF (zirconium oxide) membranes on titanium/zirconium/aluminum supports and its tubular Filtanium membranes on titanium oxide supports. CéRAM products are available in 10 different channel configurations with one to 25 channels. Both CéRAM and Filtanium elements tolerate temperatures of up to 150°C, have a pH operating range from 0 to 14, and are steam-sterilizable and autoclavable.

Tubular IsoFlux ceramic membranes are manufactured specifically for the food processing and biotech industries. The IsoFlux design enables constant permeate flux along the membrane by decreasing the thickness of the separating layer from the inlet to the outlet. TAMI’s Eternium MF membrane tubes are fabricated from a high-purity ceramic-based material that gives the active layer resistance to abrasive particles encountered in some separations. For lab-scale separations, TAMI manufactures Inside DisRAM Inside membrane disks and small housings that accommodate various tubular membranes.

TAMI’s products are sold for applications in the food and beverage, biotechnology and biopharmaceuticals, chemical, and oil industries and for water, wastewater and process-water treatment. TAMI customers are involved primarily in the food and beverage and life sciences industries.
