1950	Taro Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. was founded in 1950 in Israel as a science-based pharmaceutical company focused on developing pharmaceutical products.
1984	Taro established topical product operations in Brampton and entered into the North American generic pharmaceutical market.
2022	Taro Pharmaceutical acquired Alchemee, formerly The Proactiv Company (TPC), from Galderma, including Alchemee’s business and assets worldwide, including the Proactiv brand.
2024	Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd (Sun Pharma) completed the merger of Taro Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd, making it a wholly owned private company and expanding its position in the generic dermatology market.
