Thales is a manufacturer of high technology solutions. It provides technologies under different market segments, including defense and security, digital identity and security, aerospace, space, transport, and market-specific solutions. Thales provides UGVs under its defense and security segment. It is working on the safe, smooth integration of UGVs with command-and-control systems for battlefield operations. Thales provides various technological support for UGVs, including command, control, and intelligence; real-time connectivity and cloud networking via land communications, tactical networks, satellite communications, broadband PMR, infrastructure networks, and defense clouds; country and force protection; fire support; and augmented soldiers.
Thales provides mounted combat for all its UGVs. These mounted combats enable detecting and neutralizing the threat within seconds by leveraging accurate time information generated by networking combat vehicles and combined arms units, along with the sensors and effectors they carry.
It also provides a complete range of vehicle optronics solutions encompassing three key capabilities: targeting and surveillance (including sighting systems, cooled and uncooled thermal imagers, lasers, and sensor packs); driver vision enhancement (DVE)/local situational awareness (LSA); and protection (including laser warning systems [LWS], missile warning systems [MWS], grenade launchers and shot detection).
