1936	Vaisala Oyj was founded in 1936 by Finnish Professor Vilho Väisälä, who started with pioneering radiosonde technology from a Helsinki basement.
2025	Vaisala partnered with Jaeun International, a supplier of ship navigation and communication systems, to distribute and market Vaisala’s maritime-specific weather sensors, weather stations, and weather systems, including MetOcean and Helideck Monitoring Systems (HMS) and wind lidars, across South Korea.
