| 1974 | Roy and Joan Moffatt founded Variohm Components, a company dedicated to selling sensors in the U.K. and Ireland. As time passed, the company grew, with an outside sales team of six sales engineers covering the territory. |
| 2002 | Eurosensor, a manufacturer of industrial sensors founded by Henry Schuster, was purchased by Variohm Components, and a new entity, Variohm Eurosensor, was formed. This new grouping combined the strengths and characteristics of the two previous companies to offer a range of products. |
| 2017 | The Variohm business was acquired by discoverIE in January 2017. The company continues to operate independently, and the discoverIE group provides essential support in many areas, including legal and financial. |
