1958	Luohe Cold Storage (Shuanghui International) was established and subsequently renamed as Henan Luohe Meat Products Processing United Factory.
1999-2000	Shuanghui International acquired Carroll's Foods and Murphy Farms, the hog producer in the U.S., and became one of the prominent players in producing hogs.
2013	Shuanghui International acquired Smithfield Foods for $4.7 billion in cash. The acquisition provided Smithfield access to the growing Chinese market through Shuanghui's distribution network and allowed Shuanghui to access high-quality U.S. products and operational expertise.
2014	Shuanghui International was renamed WH Group and successfully listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange.
2016	WH Group acquired California’s pork processor, Clougherty Packing LLC, from Hormel to strengthen and expand its vertically integrated supply chain in its U.S. operations.
2019	WH Group acquired the Polish hog processing company Pini Polonia to increase its slaughter capacity and improve operating efficiencies.
2021	WH Group acquired Central European packaged meats company Mecom Group, which owns two meat processing plants in Slovakia and two specialized sites in Hungary that produce salami and other meat products.
2025	WH Group's subsidiary Morliny Foods acquired Pupil Foods Ltd., a Polish producer of wet and dry pet food, to diversify its portfolio and strengthen its presence in Europe's pet food market.
