Company Overview
AeroVironment, Inc. designs, developing, and manufacturing unmanned aircraft systems, energy-efficient systems, and tactical missile systems in the U.S. and internationally. Its product line includes unmanned aircraft systems, tracking and combat systems, ground control units, chargers, batteries, and electric vehicles. Its products serve the needs of the U.S. Department of Defense, including the Army, Air Force, and Marines, as well as commercial customers.
Effective May 2023, the company reorganized its product lines, establishing three distinct segments. The first segment, uncrewed systems (UxS), formerly known as unmanned systems, encompasses small unmanned aerial systems (SUAS), including the Tomahawk, medium unmanned aerial systems (MUAS), and unmanned ground vehicles (UGV). The second segment, loitering munition systems (LMS), focuses on advanced loitering munition technology. The third segment, maccready works (MW), incorporates high-altitude pseudo-satellites (HAPS) and the broader maccready works businesses. This restructuring aims to streamline the company’s operations and enhance focus across its diverse product offerings.
