Arista’s software-defined cloud networking (SDCN) is a combination of network virtualization, custom programmability, and simplified architectures. The four core drivers of SDCN are universal cloud network, cloud network with automated monitoring and standards-based EOS with AEM, ZTP/ZTR, LANZ, DANZ, and RAIL, network-wide virtualization that includes multivendor API support with eAPI, support for VMware and NSX with VXLAN and VMTracer, support for Microsoft OMI and Openstack OVSDB, as well as network applications and automated management.
