Canadian Solar is a solar and renewable energy company that specializes in the manufacturing of solar photovoltaic modules. It has grown into a global provider of solar energy and battery energy storage solutions, as well as a developer of utility-scale solar power and battery energy storage projects. Canadian Solar is a publicly traded company that has been listed on the NASDAQ since 2006. It has more than 26 solar and energy storage manufacturing facilities in Asia and the Americas. It has its presence in 23 continents and regions through subsidiaries.
Canadian Solar’s two main business segments are manufacturing and recurrent energy. Manufacturing segment designs, develops, and manufactures solar ingots, wafers, cells, modules, and other solar power and battery energy storage products. Recurrent energy includes solar and battery energy storage development and sale, power services (O&M), and asset management services for operational projects, and the sale of electricity from its operating portfolio. The manufacturing segment maintained strong positions across core markets, including the U.S., Europe, Asia, and South America.
