The Center for Quantum Devices (QDev) is hosted by Niels Bohr Institute (NBI). NBI is part of University of Copenhagen that studies how to create, control, measure, and protect quantum coherence and entanglement in solid-state electronic devices.
For some period of time (2018-2021), QDev hosted Microsoft Quantum Lab and joined forces with them on research on engineered topological superconductors and their potential application in topological quantum computing.
Initially, QDev received grant only from Development Network & Research Foundation (DNRF) (2012-2023) but has now have many sources of funding that include profit and non-profit organizations.
